SCHAEFFER'S NIGHTMARE

A generative sampler dedicated to Pierre Schaeffer, the father of musique concrète.

Schaeffer's Nightmare is a generative sampler inspired by the principles of musique concrète. You can load up to 4 samples, either by dragging them directly into the interface or by using the Replace button.

Set the action speed in milliseconds, and the device will take care of the rest. It continuously and randomly applies pitch variations and reverse playback, creating an evolving and unpredictable soundscape.

Each sample has its own gain control, allowing for independent volume adjustment.

A simple yet powerful tool for exploring texture, transformation, and the spirit of sonic experimentation.
