Drop in Pitch is a Max for Live device designed to create dynamic and evolving pitch modulations.
It features two distinct pitch controls.
The first is a carrier pitch that generates a downward glissando, which you can activate and adjust by setting the glide duration in seconds.
The second pitch control, blended with the first via a dry/wet parameter, allows you to modulate the pitch during the descent, adding complexity and movement to the sound.
This second pitch also has its own glide setting, offering additional flexibility in shaping the pitch transition.
In the example, I used two heavily stretched string textures and assigned one of them to the Drop in Pitch device.
The result was a rich, tense, and evolving soundscape, perfect for creating atmospheric and moving sonic textures.
