Tetragon – Max for Live Sampler

Tetragon is a Max for Live device designed to extract four independent lines from a single audio sample. By splitting one source into four distinct loops, Tetragon allows you to build rich timbral textures, complex rhythmic structures, and unexpected sonic forms from the same material.

Each of the four segments can be shaped individually:

Start point

Loop duration

Playback speed / pitch

Gain

In addition, Tetragon includes a manual pitch input where you can type any value, enabling extreme transformations and glitch behaviors that would be otherwise impossible.

The device provides five stereo outputs:

A main stereo sum, ready for quick use.

Four dedicated stereo channels, one for each segment, ideal when you want full control and wish to route each loop into its own effect chain.

Tetragon turns a single sample into a multidimensional instrument—four perspectives of the same sound, continuously morphing.

tip:

I recommend always recording to a new audio track, because the device does not save loaded samples when reopened.
